Danish dominance in PLO!
Dane Tobias Lau Frydensberg Andersen is our new PLO Championship! He won 59 000 DKK and the trophy. Tobias was one of 6 Danes who took all the top prizes in this event. The PLO was the first event for this Nordic Open, not counting our satellites to the Main Event.

Off to the races!
It’s Tuesday and we kick-start the Nordic Open with a 1,100 DKK NLH Main Event Satellite at 19:00 CET. Already more than 50 players have signed up for this evening satellite. This will be the ‘local’ equivalent of tomorrow’s identical satellite since we expect most Nordic players to arrive for the PLO and onwards. See you at the tables!

Norwegians incomming
As per usual, a large group of Norwegians have booked their flights and rooms for the Nordic Open events. More than 50 players are already confirmed travelling to Copenhagen.
Most notable is Marte Ruud Sandberg, who finished 3rd in last year’s ‘Guldhånden’ and bagged a Norwegian Championship Title only last month in Bratislava. Former ‘Guldhånden’ runner-up and Norwegian Championship organisor, Thomas Udness, is also confirmed to play.
Other big Norwegian names confirmed are double Norwegian Omaha Champion Sondre Sagstuen, Norwegian Main Event 2022 winner Per Indresund, double Thudmans Champion Hans-Christian Auensen, as well as the ever-present Guldhånden Host Mats Ulshagen.

The Nordic Open is back!
ACES Nordic Open will be played at Casino Copenhagen from June 6th to June 11th in 2023. Become the Nordic Champion of our title events PL Omaha and NL Hold’em Main Event, as well as the massive weekend-long NL Hold’em Guldhånden tournament!
Qualifiers run at Danske Spil from April, and there will also be live qualifiers at the Casino itself during the Nordic Open week.

Karim Ghozlani wins Gullhånda
Swiss poker pro Karim Ghozlani won the massive Gullhånda tournament after beating all 390 opposing players on his birthday. He won 190 000 DKK for first place.
Swede Mthfar Hamede came 2nd for 133 000 DKK; while the Norwegian poker comet Marte Ruud Sandberg was the last woman standing in 3rd place for 85 000 DKK.

Tutku Kara wins the Omaha Championship
The Danish player Tutku Kara overcame the efforts of two Swedes on his way to become the Omaha Champion of the Nordic Open, and sent them packing into 3rd and 2nd place. Kara got 70 200 DKK after a three-way deal was made on the final table.

Mehl Hansen wins Main Event
The Dane Johnny Mehl Hansen won the ACES Nordic Open Main Event Saturday night. He got a massive 435 000 DKK for the win after beating Swede Farook Ghafoor in heads up. Farook received 304 000 DKK for second place.
Nedzib Suman, also from Sweden, came third, in front of Patrik Dagnefors and Stig Grønås.

Final Start Day for Gullhånda
At 14:00 CET today the final start day for Gullhånda Open kicks off. Day 1C will play until 20:30 CET tonight. So far 244 players have participated, and 49 are through to Day 2 tomorrow.
Also, at 19:00 CET the 5.500 DKK Nordic Open Pot Limit Omaha starts its first day of play. The tournament finishes on Sunday, and buy-in is open until tomrrow at 15:00 CET. That means you can buy in at any time tonigh!

Tuesday nights 1650 DKK Rebuy Satellite to Main Event Day 1A had a whopping 110 participants! With 52 rebuys we saw 28 secure seats for the Main Event and 29th getting 2280 DKK in change. The field was a good mixture of Swedes, Danes and Norwegians - as should be at the Nordic Open.

Norwegians incomming
As per usual, a large group of Norwegians have booked their flights and rooms for the Nordic Open events. More than 50 players are already confirmed travelling to Copenhagen.
Most notable is Marte Ruud Sandberg, who finished 3rd in last year’s ‘Guldhånden’ and bagged a Norwegian Championship Title only last month in Bratislava. Former ‘Guldhånden’ runner-up and Norwegian Championship organisor, Thomas Udness, is also confirmed to play.
Other big Norwegian names confirmed are double Norwegian Omaha Champion Sondre Sagstuen, Norwegian Main Event 2022 winner Per Indersund, double Thudmans Champion Hans-Christian Auensen, as well as the ever-present Guldhånden Host Mats Ulshagen.

The Nordic Open is back!
ACES Nordic Open will be played at Casino Copenhagen from June 6th to June 11th in 2023. Become the Nordic Champion of our title events PL Omaha and NL Hold’em Main Event, as well as the massive weekend-long NL Hold’em Guldhånden tournament!
Qualifiers run at Danske Spil from April, and there will also be live qualifiers at the Casino itself during the Nordic Open week.

Karim Ghozlani wins Gullhånda
Swiss poker pro Karim Ghozlani won the massive Gullhånda tournament after beating all 390 opposing players on his birthday. He won 190 000 DKK for first place.
Swede Mthfar Hamede came 2nd for 133 000 DKK; while the Norwegian poker comet Marte Ruud Sandberg was the last woman standing in 3rd place for 85 000 DKK.

Tutku Kara wins the Omaha Championship
The Danish player Tutku Kara overcame the efforts of two Swedes on his way to become the Omaha Champion of the Nordic Open, and sent them packing into 3rd and 2nd place. Kara got 70 200 DKK after a three-way deal was made on the final table.

Mehl Hansen wins Main Event
The Dane Johnny Mehl Hansen won the ACES Nordic Open Main Event Saturday night. He got a massive 435 000 DKK for the win after beating Swede Farook Ghafoor in heads up. Farook received 304 000 DKK for second place.
Nedzib Suman, also from Sweden, came third, in front of Patrik Dagnefors and Stig Grønås.

Final Start Day for Gullhånda
At 14:00 CET today the final start day for Gullhånda Open kicks off. Day 1C will play until 20:30 CET tonight. So far 244 players have participated, and 49 are through to Day 2 tomorrow.
Also, at 19:00 CET the 5.500 DKK Nordic Open Pot Limit Omaha starts its first day of play. The tournament finishes on Sunday, and buy-in is open until tomrrow at 15:00 CET. That means you can buy in at any time tonigh!

Tuesday nights 1650 DKK Rebuy Satellite to Main Event Day 1A had a whopping 110 participants! With 52 rebuys we saw 28 secure seats for the Main Event and 29th getting 2280 DKK in change. The field was a good mixture of Swedes, Danes and Norwegians - as should be at the Nordic Open.
